Union Market Infrastructure | Washington, DC
Two years of work. Countless moving parts. One major infrastructure effort helping prepare Union Market for continued growth and future development!
This project has required extensive coordination and perseverance, from night shifts and undocumented utilities to as-built conflicts, public utility design revisions, approvals, and complex work within an active urban environment.
Along the way, major improvements have included nearly one mile of water and sewer line demolition and installation, alleyway repaving, Comcast service extensions, new streetlights, asphalt and striping, and other critical infrastructure.
Most recently, streetscape and sidewalk extensions along 4th Street and Neal Place have been completed, with final plantings and inspections still to come.
Complex infrastructure isn't always the most visible part of development - but it's what makes future growth possible. We’re proud to see how far this project has come!
