THANK YOU FOR ALL THE BIRTHDAY WISHES AND PRAYERS FOR WILLIE AND MYSELF.

Wednesday August 13th, would have been Willie's Birthday. In honor of that, I always like to share pictures of him. These pictures span his 50 Year life. Willie was always the fun twin, always having a good time. Willie was a good brother, and has been gone 18 years. I still occasionally get to hear stories about the Urban Legend, I call my brother. Happy Birthday Willie🙂

As I prepare for another lap around the sun, I remanence about my time as an auctioneer. Willie and I always liked auctions as it started as we watched Ace Scott, and Elmo & Jerome Gholson auctioneering in McLeansboro as kids. Hall of Fame Auctioneer Ted Stumpf encouraged us to go to Auction School in 1989. After auction school, we made the pact to always do the best we could at an auction, and try to make them fun and entertaining. With that, it has come the time to retire from Auctioneering. It has been a good run, and I have enjoyed it very much. I want to thank my Wife Ann for supporting me and guiding me in this venture. Thanks also to Natalie and Nicholas for giving up their Weekends to help get everything ready and to help out. A shout out to the Men and Women that have worked with us over the years, I hope it was as fun for you as well. And, a special Thank-You to the families that trusted Burke Auctioneering to sell their families treasures. We still love a good auction, and I would be happy to give advise to anybody thinking of selling "The Auction Way".

Storage Auction conducted by McLeansboro Space Center, 402 S Marshall Ave, McLeansboro, IL 62859. SATURDAY JUNE 21ST, 9:00 A.M. Currently there are 6 Units total. 2-5ft x 10ft, 3-10ft x 10ft, and 1- 10ft x15ft.
TERMS: Cash only, day of auction. Each storage unit will be sold as a whole unit, nothing separated. Once each unit’s lock is cut that day, bidders will have 5 minutes to view items from the doorway, no one allowed in storage unit until after the storage unit is sold. The successful buyers will have 48 hours to remove everything from unit and sweep clean. A $100.00 cleanup deposit, per unit, will be added. If unit is cleaned and swept, within the 48 hours, you will get the deposit back. No warranties implied. Everything sold As-Is, Where-Is. Nothing to be removed until settled for. Announcements day of auction take precedence over printed material.
AUCTIONEER’S NOTE: The number of units to be sold can change right up to auction time. The delinquent tenants have right up to auction time to pay off their past due balances with CASH. We will not know the total number of units until auction time. Remember, CASH ONLY! No checks or credit cards. Come and join us auction day.

Willie was always the life of the party. Here he was cutting up at his 15th Class Reunion. He was the Fun/Cool Uncle and would have made a great Dad. This summer would have been his 50th Class Reunion, but it was also his 17th Anniversary of leaving us all to soon. Thank you Renee, for the throw back picture. Happy Birthday to Willie, you were a great brother, and are still missed.😇
