It’s such an easy day trip or weekend getaway, and a completely different way to experience the Cape! 🍁🌊

With temperatures expected to remain dangerously high over the next several days, the Medfield Fire Department would like to remind everyone to take precautions to stay safe during this heat wave.

Heat-related illnesses can develop quickly, especially for older adults, young children, and those with chronic medical conditions.

Tips to stay cool:
✅ Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you do not feel thirsty.
✅ Limit outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day (11 AM–4 PM).
✅ Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing.
✅ Take frequent breaks in air-conditioned buildings or shaded areas.
✅ Never leave children, adults, or pets in a parked vehicle, even for a few minutes.

Please take a few moments to check on family members, neighbors, and friends who may be more vulnerable to the heat.

Please call 911 if you suspect there is an emergency.
