Starting the exterior repairs! We have some dry rot spots and some peeling paint. Our lucky carpenters are probably getting a tan on this South facing job today!

After we bought the Hafer House, our first priorities were a new roof, meeting all the tough fire codes and creating 7 gorgeous apartments.

Once that work was done, we found ourselves tied up in another project a couple blocks away. That is done now too.

So we finally have the time to take care of this exterior deferred maintenance and we are so happy about it!

It may not be all that noticeable to most passers by, but those who do pay attention have definitely noticed, and commented! 😄

Hopefully this will make them as happy as it makes us!

Might be hard to tell, but today was a big day (a lot of work). We removed all the old carpet pad and vinyl flooring in the 3rd floor studio. Then Noah brought 1700 pounds of flooring up 2.5 flights of stairs! The next two weeks will be exciting! @ Edgar F. Hafer House
