My name is Sabrina Dentice and I am a Licensed Associate Real Estate Broker with HomeSmart Premier Living Realty. So here’s a little background on me… I was born in Poughkeepsie, NY with deep roots in upstate New York as well as Long Island, mostly on the South Shore of Nassau County. When I was seven years old
, my parents moved to Jackson County, GA. I was raised amongst the small town life where tractors were the main cause of traffic and the roosters crowed all times of day and night. (We refer to home by the county if that tells you anything) I made many childhood memories there and I’ll always be a country girl at heart. When I was 18 years old I quickly found out that college was not for me. After a few semesters of college life at the University of Georgia in the Microbiology program, I was presented an opportunity to move to Orlando, FL for the summer and work as a receptionist for a property management company. What could be better than living on Disney’s doorstep for the summer? Well, I made the move and my career was off to the races! That one summer turned into the beginning of my Real Estate career and I didn’t even know it at the time. From the receptionist position I started in, I worked my way through the company in a matter of a year or so. From reservationist to an executive position, working just below the Vice President of the company. I was happy running the property management side of things but, as I always do, I wanted more. I wanted more interaction with the sellers and buyers of these homes. My goal is to one day have my own investment properties so I figured the best way to learn was to be in the thick of it. And so I got my Real Estate license in the great Sunshine State of Florida in July of 2016. I had several sales within the first few months of getting my license and was extremely happy with the direction of my career. I couldn’t help but feel something was missing. After helping all of these wealthy international people invest, protect, and grow their money, I had one deal that changed everything. It was my first deal where the buyers were actually going to live in the home they were purchasing instead of renting it out for additional income. The look on their faces from the moment we went into contract, to the moment I opened the door for them on the final walkthrough, down to the moment I handed them the keys to THEIR new home… it was nothing but pure joy and happiness! From that closing date, I knew I had a new goal in Real Estate. Not just to make people happy by making them money, but to truly make a difference in people’s lives. What better way to do that than helping them find their forever homes? Once my goals and mindset shifted, I knew what I had to do. I had to get to a place where there are more residential homes and people looking to live in them. That’s when I made my decision to move to the Big Apple. In 2017, I moved in with my sister in Point Lookout, NY and for the first time, I fell in love with New York and Long Island as a resident, not just a visitor. I worked for another Real Estate agent in Long Beach, NY while I learned the differences of Real Estate in New York and after about a year, I knew I was ready. I was ready to be out on my own as a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the great state of New York. I quickly found my forever brokerage at HomeSmart Premier Living Realty and the rest is history! In just a few short years, I’ve sold countless homes in Nassau, Suffolk, and Queens counties but more importantly, I’ve helped countless families find their forever home, and that means more to me than any number in this business.
