Here in Southern Oregon, we have just about anything recreational you can imagine. Within a fairly short distance, you could be enjoying a sandy Oregon beach, or hiking one of our vast trails, riding the current on the Smith or Rogue River, water skiing on one of our great lakes or snow skiing one of the fresh powdered slopes of either Mt Ashland in Southern Oregon, or Mt Bachelor in Central Oregon. From most anywhere in the Rogue Valley, in the not so distance, the scenery enjoys our beautiful Table Rock Mountains, and a picturesque view of Mount McLaughlin. Some say that they can see an Angel formed in the snow sided volcano. Something many love about our popular and mountain surrounded Rogue Valley is that we have four seasons, spring, summer, fall and winter. Our rainfall is average, at around 20.6 inches per year. (based upon 2010 city of Medford website. demographics) 25 miles North of Medford is Grants Pass Oregon, well known for being a nice place to live. Here, you?ll also enjoy the Valley of the Rogue Park, a beautiful scenic place to camp, picnic, and so much more including a ride down the majestic of the Rogue River. Did I mention great fishing? Ashland Oregon is know for being home of the Shakespearian Festival. 2010 marks 75th year for the wonderful plays, drama and shows. The Shakespeare Festival began in 1935 and still retains so much of the early years charm and attractions. Lithia Park is also known as a beautiful serene place to visit, tour and shop, while enjoying the many wonderful restaurants. This college town is so beautiful and tourist friendly. You won?t want to miss it. Similar in charm but a little lower key is the beautiful Jacksonville Oregon. Known for historical buildings and great shops and restaurants, this too has a special attraction, being home to the fabulous Britt Festivals and Gardens. Many performers have shows and concerts here, offering lawn seating. What a beautiful way to spend a sunny afternoon, sharing in the local w**eries and many tasty local treats from the many Jacksonville shops and local talents. Beautiful and well maintained MFH home located on the back road of this all ages park so a little less traffic! Fantastic location near shopping and restaurants but far enough from town is a good balance.
