Someone erroneously posted on Face Book and the Neighborhood site today that property TAXES are going up 27%. This is not true. For Medina County's 2022 State Mandated Reappraisal, the State has ordered VALUE up 27%. Due to Ohio's rollback law, property voted tax levies are ROLLED BACK when values increase due to State Mandated Reappraisals. The last reappraisal taxes increased about 2-2.5% per every 10% increase in valuation. These value increases are for NEXT YEAR. We will not know what property taxes will be until the state certifies tax levies to us in December. Questions?
