A quick recap of the Brevard County Residential Report for April 2024:

* Closed Sales are up 5.6% for April 2024 in which the number of units closed was 1,033 compared to 978 in April 2023, with an increase in cash sales of 3.4%.
* New Pending Sales are up 8.3% and New Listings are up 28.4%.
* The Median Sales Price for Brevard Single Family homes is up 6.7% to $384,000 compared to a year ago, which was $360,000.
* Months' Supply of Inventory is up 71.4% to 3.6 months, an increase from 2.1 months in April 2023.
* Traditional Sales are up 5.6% with a median sales price of $385,000.
* Foreclosure/REO Sales are up 80.0% with 9 closed sales and a median sales price of $230,000.
* Short Sale Closings down -100.0% with 0 closed sales reported with a median sales price of (no sales).

• Closed Sales are down -7.6% for Q1 2024 in which the number of units closed was 668 compared to 679 in Q1 2023, with a decrease in cash sales of -1.6%.
• New Pending Sales are down -3.8% and New Listings are up 19.8%.
• The Median Sales Price for Brevard Single Family homes is up 7.1% to $375,000 compared to a year ago, which was $350,000.
• Months' Supply of Inventory is up 63.6% to 3.6 months, an increase from 2.2 months in Q1 2023.
• Traditional Sales are down -8.0% with a median sales price of $375,950.
• Foreclosure/REO Sales are up 10.5% with 21 closed sales and a median sales price of $240,000.

I was at Wendy's recently, I heard a guy ask for his senior discount. The girl at the register apologized and charged him less. When I asked the man what the discount was, he told me that seniors over age 55 ...get 10% off everything on the menu, every day. (But you need to ASK for your discount.)
This incident prompted me to do some research, and I came across a list of restaurants, supermarkets, department stores, travel deals and other types of offers giving various discounts with different age requirements.
