Adelei update
The open-heart surgery on September 29th was to remove excess muscle from her heart because the muscle was restricting her blood flow, but after surgery her numbers still weren’t where they needed to be. So October 2nd they did A catheterization and found more muscle hidden in her heart and a narrowed pulmonary veins, so they placed a stent in her. October 5th, she had another open-heart surgery to remove the remaining muscle and put in a pacemaker.
She’s now recovering. But we found out one of the pacemaker leads isn’t in the best position, so the doctors are watching it closely and adjusting the pacemaker as needed. it may need to be repositioned in the future. Right now, our biggest goal is to let her heal and give her heart as many strong years as possible because the end goal is a transplant.
