Melbourne's newest third space is open to the public! The Hangout @ Protowork is now open on weekdays from 9-5 and on weekends from 1-6. We'll be closed on Saturday, May 30 for a special occasion!

👉 Frequently Asked Questions

💬 What can you do here? Play board games, craft, read, study, work, start a club, run a D&D campaign, whatever would be accepted at a coffee shop is a good baseline! If your activity may be somewhat disruptive to a chill environment, you can message us to check whether it's okay.

💬 Can you bring your own snacks? Yes! You can also order food to get delivered here, but we do not have refrigerator space for Hangout guests. We do also have drinks and snacks to buy.

💬 Do you have WiFi? We have WiFi available for coworking members & daypass users. If you need WiFi, please check out our daypasses and memberships https://protowork.studio/services-pricing/

💬 Can I rent a desk? Yes! We have desks available in our coworking areas for daypass users and members. Feel free to message us for a tour! If you want a table in the Hangout area, it's first come first serve, but we can set up and reserve a table for you with advance notice.

💬 When is your Grand Opening? We do not currently have an ETA for our Grand Opening, as we are still working on improving the Hangout. Progress over perfection!

Some clips from our soft open earlier today! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us, whether it was friends, family, or new faces we got to meet, we're so grateful. We hope to continue being a valuable resource for the community, and we're excited to grow with you! 🌱
