Happy National Dog Day. 🐾 All week we’ve partnered with the SPCA of Brevard to share what actually helps a dog succeed in a new home, and here’s the one thing we want you to hold onto.
Dogs just need time and patience, the same way any of us would in a brand new environment. If the doubt is creeping in, if you feel like you’re doing something wrong, like they don’t like you yet, you’re not failing them. Just remember that. 🫶🏽
That’s the 3-3-3 rule: 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn your routine, 3 months to truly feel home. Save this and come back to it when you need the reminder, or share with someone that just adopted.
