I’m sure the green pool has already inspired a few comments, so let me get ahead of them!

First and foremost, this is NOT due to a lack of care or service from our excellent pool company. They are doing everything they can to keep up with Mother Nature’s latest challenge.

The combination of extreme heat and the Crape Myrtles around the pool is the culprit. Their leaves release tannins and acids into the water, which can turn our beautiful pool into what looks like a giant glass of green tea.

Trust me, this has been a pain to maintain, and unfortunately, there isn’t a magic wand we can wave to make it go away. We’re going to give the pool a temporary treatment to get us through the weekend, and then we’ll close it again on Monday for a more extensive treatment to try to get this issue under control once and for all.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while we battle the green monster!

Once the trees around the pool are trimmed next month, we should see a significant reduction in leaves and palm seeds falling into the pool as well—hopefully with much less debris to contend with!

And yes… we’re hoping to see blue again very soon!

Good news! Waste Management installed a brand-new compactor at our property today. The new unit features an easier-to-use access door to make disposing of your trash more convenient.

To help keep the compactor operating properly, please follow the posted signage indicating what items are permitted inside. Placing prohibited items in the compactor can cause jams and service interruptions. And please do not throw trash on top of the compactor, as the trash just needs to be placed on the inside ramp to slide down.

After disposing of your trash, please be sure to close the access door completely so the compactor remains clean, safe, free of wildlife, and ready for the next resident.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping keep our community clean and our new equipment in excellent condition!
