Take a few minutes to check around your property.

Even if your home didn't flood, extended periods of heavy rain can reveal drainage problems, moisture issues, and maintenance concerns you might not normally notice.

Here's where we'd start:

🏡 1. LOOK UP!
Check ceilings, walls, and areas around windows for new water stains, bubbling paint, or signs of moisture. These can be early indicators of a leak.

💧 2. CHECK YOUR DRAINAGE
Are gutters overflowing? Is water collecting near your foundation? Are downspouts directing water away from your home?

🌿 3. WALK YOUR YARD

✔️ Review your property taxes. Check your assessment, exemptions, and payment deadlines.

✔️ Take inventory of home improvements. Keep receipts, warranties, and records of major upgrades in one place.

✔️ Check your home's current market value. Even if you aren't planning to sell, knowing where your equity stands can help with future financial decisions.
