Offering hope and healing to the addicted, broken, and homeless in Brevard County for nearly 60 years.

We will be updating our page weekly to inform you on progress we are making here at CITA. We are always needing your donations and volunteering your time to help our efforts work. We have never accepted money from the Government we have always built our business on people who care enough to give to the needy and help minister true change through a relationship with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Did you know we regularly pray for you? 🙏

Each week, our staff at Christ Is The Answer Rescue Mission comes together for a time of team devotion and prayer. We pray for one another, for the men, women, and children we serve, and for God’s continued blessing, wisdom, and direction over the mission.

And that includes praying for you too. 💚

We are so thankful for those who follow what God is doing here, pray for this ministry, volunteer, give, share our posts, and encourage us along the way. You are an important part of the community that surrounds this mission, and we are grateful for you.

Do you love God for who He is, or mostly for what He does for you?

That was the challenge our Director of Operations shared with the men at Christ is the Answer Rescue Mission during chapel this morning.

Psalm 27:4 points to David’s deepest desire. He wanted to dwell in the presence of the Lord and behold His beauty. His focus was not simply on what God could provide, but on God Himself.

The men also reflected on Matthew 27:26-31 and what Jesus willingly endured before He was even placed on the cross. He could have stopped it, yet He chose to continue because of His love for us and His willingness to take the penalty for our sin.

It leads to an important question for all of us.

When circumstances are difficult and God’s blessings are harder to see, is Jesus still enough?

At CITA, our goal is not simply to help men improve their circumstances. We want to point them toward a relationship with Christ that remains steady no matter what those circumstances look like? ❤️✝️

Sometimes support looks like a safe place to sleep, healthy meals, and the things a child needs. And sometimes it looks like this! 😄😂

At Helen’s House, the children we serve get more than their basic needs met. They get the chance to laugh, play, make memories, and simply enjoy being kids while their families work toward a brighter future. ❤️

Our newest ministry update is here! 🙌

August was an incredible month at Christ Is The Answer Rescue Mission. We celebrated Tony Banks as he graduated and moved into his next chapter, served 72 residents, provided more than 5,680 meals, offered 1,865 nights of safe shelter, and held more than 200 opportunities for worship, discipleship, recovery, and spiritual growth.

Inside this month’s update, you can also meet the faithful men of MPACT, celebrate baptisms at Helen’s House, watch our men worship during morning chapel, see answered prayers, and discover how churches, volunteers, and community partners served throughout the mission. You will even see how God provided when both of our donation trucks went down.

Every number represents a person, and every picture captures only a small part of what God is doing. ❤️

What a blessing it was to have First Baptist Church come out this past weekend to provide and serve dinner for the men at Christ Is The Answer Rescue Mission!

Their generosity gave our residents a great meal, wonderful fellowship, and also gave our hardworking kitchen team a much-appreciated break for the evening.

We are so thankful for volunteers who come alongside us and serve our men in such a practical and meaningful way. Thank you, First Baptist Church, for sharing the love of Christ with our residents!

We are so thankful for those who faithfully show up and invest in the lives of our residents! 🙌

A special thank you to Trey Etheridge, who serves CITA in so many ways. In addition to serving on Christ Is The Answer Rescue Mission’s Board of Directors, Trey comes out at least once a month to share God’s Word during chapel. He also serves alongside other men from MPACT - Men Passionate About Christ, who faithfully come each week to lead a small group with our guys.

That kind of commitment makes a difference. These men are building relationships, opening God’s Word, encouraging our residents, and continually pointing them toward the hope and transformation found in Jesus Christ.

Thank you, Trey, and thank you to the entire MPACT team for investing your time and your hearts into the men at CITA. We are incredibly grateful to have you walking alongside us in this ministry! 💚

A few days ago, we had the privilege of watching one of our residents step up and lead chapel for the men at CITA.

He began by leading everyone in “Nothing but the Blood of Jesus” and then shared from God’s Word about the danger of allowing sin to remain in our lives. What may seem small at first can quickly grow, take control, and create distance in our relationship with the Lord.

It was such a blessing to see a man who came to CITA for help now standing before others and encouraging them through Scripture.

This is what life transformation can look like, and your prayers and support help make moments like this possible at Christ Is The Answer Rescue Mission.

We are so thankful for the volunteers from First Baptist Church of Melbourne who continue to faithfully serve at our Helen’s House Thrift Store. 💚

This team consistently show up ready to work, whether that means sorting donations, organizing clothing, preparing items for the sales floor, or simply helping wherever they are needed.

Their shirts say “Love Your Neighbor,” and they are doing exactly that.

Volunteers make such a difference in the day to day work of Christ Is The Answer Rescue Mission. Every hour they give helps our thrift stores operate more effectively and ultimately helps support the ministry and the men, women, and children we serve.

Thank you to our friends at First Baptist Church of Melbourne for continuing to give your time and serve alongside us.

We’re excited to welcome one of our newest volunteers, Paul! 🙌

Paul and his wife have a real heart to serve, and he recently jumped right in by helping in the kitchen at Christ Is The Answer Rescue Mission.

Paul also has a heart for ministry, and we’re looking forward to seeing him serve in a variety of areas at CITA, including the kitchen, our thrift stores, and chapel.

Volunteers like Paul make such a difference because they’re not just helping with a task. They’re giving their time, using their gifts, building relationships, and helping us serve the men, women, and children who come through our doors.
