The BHC team has enjoyed connecting with colleagues and partners from across the country, learning from so many great sessions, and spending time with several of our own Brevard CoC partners along the way. 💙

🎤 Another Brevard voice presenting at the 2026 Florida Coalition to End Homelessness Conference!

We’re proud to highlight Leeanne Sacino of HfH Supportive Housing, a member organization of the Brevard County Continuum of Care (CoC), who will be sharing her expertise at next week’s conference.

Leeanne will join Bryan Cherry of PinPoint Results for “Turning Relationships into Results: A Practical Guide to Local Homeless Advocacy,” a session focused on how CoCs and their partners can leverage relationships, collective voice, and local expertise to strengthen advocacy, help shape policy and funding priorities, and position homeless response systems as essential partners in addressing broader community needs.

We’re proud to highlight Tara Brown Pagliarini of Family Promise Space Coast, a member organization of the Brevard County Continuum of Care (CoC), who will be sharing her experience and expertise at next week’s conference.

Tara will join fellow presenters for “Faith and Family: Mobilizing Community Congregations for Emergency Shelter,” exploring how Family Promise affiliates engage faith communities and volunteers to provide shelter, meals, connection, and support for families experiencing homelessness, while highlighting how community-driven partnerships can expand support, reduce stigma, and strengthen connections throughout the community.

Family Promise is an integral part of our Continuum of Care’s homeless response system, helping families experiencing homelessness access the support and resources they need to move toward greater stability, and conversations like this help shine a light on both the challenges families face and the work underway across our community to support them. 💙

Next week, the BHC team will join hundreds of advocates, service providers, Continuums of Care (CoCs), and community leaders from across FL at the 2026 Florida Coalition to End Homelessness Conference!

The conference provides an opportunity to connect with partners from across the state, share innovative approaches, strengthen collaboration, and continue building solutions that move communities closer to ending homelessness.

We’re especially proud that Brevard will be represented on the conference stage, with several partners from our CoC sharing their experience and expertise with colleagues from across the state. We’ll be highlighting them as we get closer to the conference! 💙

📢 FY2026 HUD Continuum of Care Funding Update

A federal district court has vacated HUD’s FY2026 Continuum of Care (CoC) Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), finding that HUD did not complete the required public notice-and-comment process before establishing the $1.3 billion funding set-aside.

As a result, the current FY2026 CoC competition is paused and will not move forward under the existing timeline.

The funding process has not been cancelled. HUD may appeal the decision, seek a stay, issue a revised NOFO, or take other actions to move the competition forward.

We are actively monitoring developments, coordinating with Florida CoC Lead Agencies and national partners, and will share updates as new information becomes available.

Earlier this week, partners from across Brevard County came together for the CoC’s 2nd Annual Resource Fair: Encouraging Self-Sufficiency through Community Connections — and the energy in the room was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when a community works together. 💙

The Resource Fair created an opportunity for local organizations to connect face-to-face, learn more about one another’s programs and services, share resources, and strengthen the relationships that help individuals and families navigate our community’s system of care.

Every conversation, new connection, and resource shared helps build a stronger, more coordinated response to homelessness. No single organization can do this work alone — it takes a community of partners bringing their knowledge, resources, and commitment to the table.

Thank you for the work you do every day, for continuing to show up for our neighbors and for one another, and for helping advance our shared vision of a Housed and Healthy Brevard.
