Having grown up in an Air Force family that lived in seven states across the U.S., as well as Baguio City, Philippines, Amber Orton knows what it feels like when you find a place to call home. en she and her husband found themselves bumping into friends while strolling downtown on weekends, they knew that they had found a tight-knit community where they could raise a family. It’s that same sense of community that compelled Amber to leave her career as a real estate financial analyst in the banking industry in 2008. Initially working alongside her mother, a 20-year veteran in the real estate industry, Amber quickly found that her steady, straight shooter personality was a source of support in guiding clients through the inevitable ups and downs of real estate. She was sold on her new career, and transitioned to being an independent agent. After 9 years of working hard to build her business, she found the demand for her services expanding, and in 2017 hired an agent and a full-time marketing professional to create a team that provides the best experience possible for buyers and sellers. They collaborate with a group of lenders and attorneys to ensure that even the most complicated problem is handled with ease and care. That attention to detail continues far past closing day, and clients appreciate the unmatched resources they have to handle every conceivable task, from organizing closets and cleaning the gutters, to finding a new home if they move out of state. This high level of professionalism has propelled Amber and her team to be ranked in the top 50 RE/MAX real estate teams in all of New England. More importantly, it’s created a relationship with clients that keeps them returning for all of their real estate needs. Amber has continued to educate herself in the ever-changing real estate landscape and has earned special designations that serve her clients, she is a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), and an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR). Exploring the world is a passion for Amber and her family, and to say they're avid travelers might be a bit of an understatement. They take annual SCUBA diving trips to Grand Cayman and have explored the waters of Belize, Cabo, Kauai, Hawaii, and Australia's Great Barrier Reef. Some of their favorite and most memorable family vacations were to a dude ranch in Colorado and to Finland and Sweden to meet long-lost relatives who found them on Facebook. Her fun-filled and relaxed itineraries are the stuff of legend and on more than one occasion, she’s had friends ask for the details to duplicate their adventures. They dream of future trips to the Galapagos, Bonaire, Greece, Africa and Switzerland and hope to live the van life in retirement, traveling the U.S. in a Winnebago Travato while keeping their home base in Melrose, MA.
