Step One: Look no further!

Ok, ok, that may be true, but let’s talk about what you should be looking for in a Realtor (and don’t worry, we check all the boxes).

✔️Someone with the Realtor designation. They belong to the National Association of Realtors and are held to a strict code of ethics.
✔️Someone who knows the market.
✔️Someone with experience. Whether it be years in the business or a team behind them that has a wealth of knowledge, just make sure you are hiring someone who will protect your interests.
✔️Someone who knows how to negotiate. Negotiations in real estate go well beyond just the purchase price, so make sure you find someone confident in negotiations.

Why not, you ask? Well, whenever you sell your home, the buyer and their lender will order an appraisal to be done by a third-party appraiser. The lender cannot use a previous appraisal, so there is no need to pay for one.

An FHA insured loan is a US Federal Housing Administration mortgage insurance backed mortgage loan that is provided by an FHA-approved lender. Traditionally, they have lower interest rates allowing the buyer to afford more, but the buyer does have to pay PMI (private mortgage insurance) for the life of the loan.
