“My business partner and I listed a home in the 55+ community of Sun City, AZ. The first Buyer canceled but we quickly went under contract again. During the 2nd home inspection, I received a call from the inspector who said he found some money in the home. I told him to put it in one of the kitchen drawers and I would get it later, thinking it was probably $20.00 or so. He said he didn't feel comfortable leaving that much money in the home. I asked him how much he found… it was $26,000 in cash, hidden inside the return air vent under some insulation!! This home was a rental property and the tenant unexpectedly passed away. We gave the money to the seller who then returned it to the tenant's son.”
