The business cards for Henry Turley Company say “Developing Community.” That’s exactly what we seek to do, and it is often the case that in doing so, we bring something new to a community – an alternative way of living that had not been commonly available before...

For instance, we pioneered downtown living in Memphis, at a time when few believed downtown would ever serve as a worthwhile gateway

to our city. We brought loft living to Memphis when everyone else thought eastward sprawl was more worthy of attention. By spearheading and nurturing the development of whole neighborhoods, like Harbor Town and South Bluffs, we were leaders in the conceptualization of what is now formally known as New Urbanism. With initiative and stamina, we have proven it is possible to revitalize distressed inner city neighborhoods, notably the northern edge of downtown, affectionately referred to as Uptown. All of that is hard work, but we enjoy doing that kind of work.
