For my sale in South Green (Morristown) the town required a signed form of HABITABILITY!!! No, a copied or faxed version wouldn't do. Had to be real signature of all parties. Buyer's agent lives in Newark, buyers live in Kinnelon, Seller lives in Florham Park, Seller's Agents lives in Mendham and the attorneys are also varied.....this has to be signed with real signatures all around so that a CERTIFICATE of Habitability can be created for closing.
I respect the intent totally of keeping 2 adults to a one bedroom Condo, but there has to be a simpler way! A certified mail solution from my town to Newark t00k 7 days.....oh yes, Or certified mail was $65....
I leave you to your own thoughts on the matter ....
