What does this mean for you?

The past two days have been an inflection point in our two year journey through higher mortgage rates and dramatically lower home sales volume. If you are watching the news, it is becoming apparent the Fed is going to have to start lowering the discount rate sooner, rather than later. As a result, money is fleeing to the safety of the bond market and this is pushing mortgage rates lower. So, I ask again, what does this mean for you? Well, it means home prices may begin to start climbing rapidly again. We'll see. If rates keep dropping then we'll be back to 20+ offers per house. Now may be the time to make a move before you have to pay an even more ridiculous price for a home...at least you'll be able to fix your rate later. 🤷

The recent high on the 30-year fixed mortgage was 7.52% in late April, and home sales have been falling ever since.
