Beware of rental scams!!!! This picture is a screen shot of a fraudulent rental scam on TikTok. This property is one of our rentals that we have for rent at a higher price.

Often times, scammers will rip off legitimate listings and advertise them at a much lower price. They will then try to get you to wire transfer your security deposit or an applition fee to them, and they’ll vanish. Please do not fall for this. Here are our tips to avoid this:

- do your research on the company and landlord, if something seems fishy it probably is.

- insist on an in person showing. If they won’t show it to you or want to charge you before showing, that’s a red flag.

- be wary of a company/person that seems over eager to collect a payment. If they want to collect a payment before you even apply, that’s a red flag too.
