For many taking on a project is enjoyable and rewarding, but for first time DIY projects problems can mount quickly making it stressful and time consuming. Some things to consider before you DIY.

1 - Do your research on the materials needed and set a budget
2 - Set a realistic time frame and be willing to adjust
3 - Be sure to have the right tools to get the job done
4 - Be realistic about your skill level, both for safety and the quality of the finished product
5 - Start small, build into larger scale projects over time.
