The U.S. Treasury just made a move that could matter for mortgage rates. The announcement initially helped bring longer-term Treasury yields down, which can create a more favorable environment for mortgage rates. Encouraging? Yes. A guarantee that mortgage rates are about to drop dramatically? No.
The advantage isn’t waiting for the perfect market. It’s having the right strategy for the market you’re in.
Because the rate is only one part of the equation. Your purchase price, financing structure, negotiating position, competition and long-term plans all belong in the same conversation.
