3 countries. 15+ cities, towns and villages. 1 villa. 3 hotels. And 1 very overdue out-of-office.

Planes, cars, a few boats, ferry, and a few plot twists we definitely didn’t put on the itinerary.

Mt. Etna threw is delays, cancellations and lost luggage, trying her best to knock us off course. She may be a force of nature, but clearly, she didn’t know she was dealing with one, too. 😂

Time with my family. Time with Rich. A little time to myself. Big celebrations, beautiful places and, most importantly, a much-needed break from work.

And if you know me, you know that last part was the hardest.

When you love what you do and so many people count on you, stepping away is difficult. But there will always be another call, another email, another thing that needs you. We need to make time for the people we love, enjoy the life we work so hard for and give ourselves permission to pause.

And thank you to Angelina for reminding me MANY times before we left that it was okay to step away. Sometimes you need your daughter to put things into perspective. ❤️

A huge shoutout to Ali, Elana, Eric and Regina for keeping everything moving, taking care of my clients and giving me the space to actually take this break. It truly takes a village, and I’m so grateful for mine.
