I am excited to reveal this recent sale! Why? Because it is an example of how first time home buyers can enter into the real estate market in the lakes region! Real estate here is expensive. My young client - just 23 years old then - took a chance and bought this 2 family as a first time home buyer. She lived in one of the apartments for several years. She rented the other apartment and collected rent to help pay for the mortgage. In the 9 years of ownership, she improved the property, collected rents, and paid down her mortgage. A new job sent her to the other end of the state, and she called me to say it is time to sell. With the help of a great REMAX agent, Shelby Cole - another young buyer stepped up, as a first time home buyer, and he completed the purchase. Now he will live in one of the apartments, and collect rent to help pay for the mortgage - a 30 year term. IF he is able to make 13 payments in a year rather than 12 payments - and if he repeat this strategy - he will knock years off the term and dollars of interest. So if in 9 years he decides to sell - perhaps he will walk away with a healthy profit like she did- all the while having a very nice home to live in too! My point --- young first time homebuyers should consider buying a multi-family home in the lakes region to obtain the dream of home ownership!

Moultonborough! Great Suissevale property! And what a sweet property it is! This family has loved it for many years, but it's time to pass it on to another generation to enjoy! Here's a quiet location with a huge back yard that's fenced so the pup can enjoy! And the kids too! The open space on the main level was used for many dinners - often spilling over onto the huge deck where appetizers or desserts were served! Winters brought game time in the living room in front of the fireplace where it was cozy and warm. Downstairs the ping pong table brought hours of fun! Three levels allowed each generation to spread out to enjoy their own space. Four seasons here --- lots to do in Suissevale, and plenty more to explore in Moultonborough. Come see it!
