About Us:
Caroline became interested in real estate starting at a very young age, growing up with the business of real estate all around her. Her Grandmother and Father owned and operated a Real Estate and Insurance Agency throughout her entire childhood, where they sold and rented properties, helped buyers find properties, and managed a portfolio of rentals. Caroline spent every Saturday growing
up either working at the Agency answering phones and filing, going with her Dad to fix something at a tenant's apartment, or getting a property ready to list. Watching her Father remodel apartment buildings and homes rubbed off on her from a young age, and she was always interested in how structures were built and how they could be changed and improved. When she wasn't busy with school or working on a Saturday throughout her childhood, Caroline could often be found in the garage at home constructing scale model homes out of scrap wood. That developed into a love for real homes as she got older, and she began renovating full scale homes in her early 20’s right out of college, which she learned she loved even more than building models! After she earned her bachelors degree from UCONN, she went on to earn two Masters degrees in Business Management and Business Administration when Corporate America scooped her up, all the while buying and selling her own homes to renovate in her free time. This helped her to gain invaluable education and hands-on experience in both the business and real estate worlds. She decided to finally make it official, adding an official real estate license to her portfolio in 2021 so she could branch her passion out to helping others buy and sell homes. From her time spent in Corporate America, she has 20+ years of experience managing and negotiating legal contracts, which provides critical experience in negotiating and managing Real Estate contracts and transactions for Clients. In her free time, she can be found spending time with her rescue dogs and cats, reading, or ripping something apart in her house to improve on! At a young age Jay got to witness and understand the business of Real Estate by being around his Dad who has been a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson for over 31 years with Maier Real Estate. He spent many afternoons with his father using paper maps to find the locations of new Agency listings where they would place For Sale signs. Many weekend afternoons helping at open houses and many cold snowy winters days plowing driveways and parking lots of the properties which Maier Real Estate owns and maintains. His education and career path has led him to work full time for over 16 years and counting as a Plant Maintenance & Operations Manager in the Commercial/Industrial end of Manufacturing. Within this field his duties include maintaining the 24/7/365 operation of a multi-million-dollar facility from the floor to the ceiling including all operational assets which keep the business fruitful on a daily basis. Because of this Jay has developed a portfolio of reliable/professional contractors in all facets of Property Maintenance, New Equipment Installations, Preventative and Predictive Maintenance including Plumbers, HVAC Technicians and Electricians. He has also honed many skills firsthand which he is am able to utilize to help support both his Team and the business where he works.
