MW Properties - A Division of Silverhawk Realty Buying or selling a home can feel stressful, but it doesn’t have to. I help make your real estate experience smooth, clear, and successful from start to finish.

For over 10 years I’ve helped people across the Treasure Valley move forward with confidence. I fell in love with the city of Boise and the surrounding community soon after arriving in 2006 to attend Boise State University. There is always an event happening or something fun to do around the city, including watching our Boise State Athletics perform, attending a professional hockey, baseball, or b

asketball game, hiking, fishing, golfing or just relaxing at a tailgate. Not only is there an activity for everyone but hopefully a home for everyone as well. Whether you are looking for your first home, relocating to the Boise area or just moving from one part of the city to another. I would welcome the opportunity to be your trusted Agent. Working together, we will find your perfect home!

Summer is officially here in the Treasure Valley, and for many families, that means it may finally be time to make a move.

With school out, inventory rising, and buyer activity increasing across Ada County, this summer market is shaping up differently than many expected.

I broke down what buyers and sellers should know right now, including Boise-area market trends, summer timing strategies, and why preparation matters more than ever.

May is here, and the Treasure Valley market is moving. Rates are better than last year, but buyers are still payment-conscious. Sellers have opportunity, but pricing and prep matter more than ever. I broke down what this means for several areas in the valley on my blog post:

Thinking about selling your home this spring in the Treasure Valley?

Here is something most people do not realize. The timing of your listing could impact your outcome just as much as your price or condition.

Right now, there is a short window where competition is still relatively low, but serious buyers are already active. A few weeks from now, there will likely be more buyers, but also many more homes on the market.

So the question becomes, which timing actually works better for you?

I broke this down in a simple way in this week’s post, including how to think about your specific situation.

Thinking about buying a home in Ada County, but your are not quite ready to move yet?

Most buyers wait until they’re scrolling listings… and that’s usually when things feel rushed. The smartest buyers do something different: they spend 3–6 months preparing so they understand their numbers, their options, and which areas actually fit their life.

In this post, I break down:

What to focus on before you ever tour a home

How early prep gives you more flexibility (and less stress)

Why buyers in the Treasure Valley benefit from having a plan, even if they’re not buying tomorrow

Holiday Magic in the Treasure Valley

The first week of December always feels like the true start of the holiday season here in the Treasure Valley. The air is crisp, neighborhoods are glowing with lights, and local towns are gearing up for a full month of festive fun. Wherever you are in the Valley, there is something fun happening nearby every weekend this month. The Winter Lights Parade and Tree Lighting in downtown Meridian kicks off the celebration this Friday, while Caldwell’s Night Light Parade brightens the streets on Saturday with its “Winter Nights & Magical Lights” theme. Families can also stroll through the Winter Garden aGlow at the Idaho Botanical Garden, one of Boise’s most beloved holiday traditions, or stop by Scentsy Commons in Meridian to see nearly a million lights twinkling across the campus.

If you’re looking for hands-on winter fun, there’s plenty of that too. Go skating under the stars at The Village in Meridian, take the kids sledding at Eagle Island State Park, or plan a cozy night at Shindig Farms’ Lost in Christmas in Nampa, where you can ride wagons, sip cocoa by a fire pit, and explore glowing mazes. Add in local markets, live music, and hot cocoa stands across Ada and Canyon counties, and you’ve got a season full of family traditions waiting to be made.

There’s so much more happening across the Valley this December, from outdoor light shows to community markets and neighborhood celebrations. I’ve rounded up the best family-friendly events, dates, and local favorites in one place.

Winter in the Boise Valley is here—are you ready?

Even if we don’t always get heavy snow, the cold snaps and icy mornings can still do real damage to homes in Ada and Canyon Counties.

Here are three quick prep steps you can do this week:

Service your furnace before the first deep freeze.

Clear gutters and downspouts to prevent ice dams.

Seal door and window drafts to keep heating costs down.

Those three alone can make a big difference—but there are seven more that every Treasure Valley homeowner and renter should know.

Read all 10 steps in my latest guide:

As winter looms over Ada & Canyon Counties, smart homeowners and renters can get ahead with a 10-step prep plan.
