A remarkable new chapter is taking shape in the heart of Bend, Oregon.

Once central to the historic Shevlin-Hixon Mill operations, this land is now becoming Riva. This new community will feature 42 modern townhomes near the Deschutes River and Old Mill District.

Each townhome will offer a spacious three or four bedroom layout with abundant natural light and plenty of outdoor living space. Restaurants, shops, trails, and recreation will all be just minutes from your front door.

Such a fun Meridian Chamber of Commerce event yesterday!

Brighton’s own Jonathan Wardle, President of Development & Homes, took the stage as the keynote speaker at the 2026 Business Excellence Awards. His presentation, “130 Years of Showing Up,” brought Meridian’s history to life while celebrating the businesses and leaders helping shape what comes next.

Jon shared an important reminder that business excellence goes far beyond what you build. It is about how you show up, the people you serve, and the lasting impact you make along the way.

Last week, we had the privilege of celebrating Seth Vanderpool and Jared Telford, who have worked side by side designing Brighton homes for the past 15 years. Their talent and dedication have left a lasting mark on Brighton, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have them both on our team.
