Monday Motivation! When I taught elementary school, we testing reading speed each week. Sometimes, kids would compare their scores. We all know that comparison is the thrift of joy!!
I used to preach that you only had to be better than you were yesterday. Boy! Do I hope they tucked that in their little hearts & used that in their lives. As I’ve grown, it means more to me than when I taught it.
I hope you make this week a week of tiny (or big) steps forward!

I love a neat a colorful yard! I also admit I am HORRIBLE at gardening. I love the concept, but my knowledge & follow through is very lacking. As a teen, weeding was used as punishment & still feels the same. I do know how to take care of roses thanks to my grandmother.
Each day as I walk, I notice beautiful lawns and plan what could be for my lawn. I am promising myself to get my front and backyard in shape and bring you along for the ride.

Congratulations to my buyers of a brand new home in Nampa! This was such a fun story and I’m so excited to share.
I met Gary and Nicole from a Facebook post and we started talking. At the time, they were enjoying the sunshine on a beach in South Carolina (I was jealous!). We discussed their needs and wants and then Gary flew out to view homes. We looked at 5 builders and their lots in 2 days. They picked a floor plan, but it wasn’t until after Gary went back east that we found the lot!
Once, they were in contract, I attended all their builder meetings and showroom appointments and connected them via video calls. I also visited the building site and sent pictures periodically so both could feel like they were included in the building process as much as possible.
A week before closing, Gary and Nicole made their way to Idaho so they could view the home, go through the New Home Orientation, and attend the signing in person. I got to meet Nicole for the first time!!
They have now closed and are in the process of moving in. Welcome back to Idaho and thank you for trusting me to help you build and buy your new home. I’m so excited to watch them make this home theirs with their treasured furniture pieces and decorations.

My buyers are so anxious to get into their new house. I’m sitting in my car at the Title Office waiting for recording & keys. This is quite the story & I’ll share tomorrow. Just know that when you work with me, I listen & do whatever it takes to help make your dreams come true!!

Happy National Donut Day? What is your favorite donut or donut story?
When I was a senior in high school, I worked in our town’s burger restaurant. We had Winchell Donuts delivered in the morning. If there were any left by the evening shift, we could have them. My favorite was the powdered sugar lemon filled. It was also the owner’s favorite. He would leave it alone & then race me for it. I’m sure it was a way bigger deal to me, but a fun memory for me now.
