Your kitchen is one of the spaces you spend the most time in. Want to make it shine before you sell or before holiday company comes over?
Here’s a couple quick tricks to upgrade your kitchen without having to upgrade your wallet…
1 – Deep clean everything. Do you remember how your house looked when you first moved in? Immaculate, right? That’s your goal.
2 – Update your hardware. Change out your hardware to nickel-plated or pewter to give your kitchen cabinets a new, fresh look.
3 – Cover up the dings and scratches. There are markers created exactly for this! Even if your puppy got ahold of a pantry door, a fresh coat of paint (or just a few dabs) can work wonders.
4 – Replace the backsplash. There’s no shame in the food stains that never seem to come off the backsplash behind your oven and counters. However, upgrading your kitchen backsplash can give your kitchen an entirely new look at a fraction of the cost of redoing your entire kichen.
5 – Update the lighting. The light fixture in your kitchen has been there for quite some time, hasn’t it. Head over to your local hardware store and find a modern overhead light to replace it with. At least clean out any bugs that have wandered into your current lighting fixture over the years.
6 – Organize everything! Grab some cute containers and labels, and then, fast forward an hour or two, and your kitchen won’t even look like yours.
Pick 2 and see if you can knock them out over the next week or two! (And remember, hiring a professional home cleaner is DEFINITELY an option!)
