Everyone talks about rate buydowns, but no one really explains what that means.

There are two types of buydowns:

✔️ Temporary buydowns, where your rate is reduced for the first few years of the loan.

✔️ Permanent buydowns, where the rate is lowered for the life of the loan.

A lot of buyers see today’s interest rates and immediately feel discouraged. But what if I told you there are situations where buyers are getting rates in the 4% range through seller concessions and buydown strategies?

The key is understanding your options and working with the right lender to create a plan that fits your goals.
