For sale by owner may make sense when it is first brought up and saving the money on commission does sound amazing. As an agent, I understand the value of saving money, but let me tell you exactly what the commission is for.
1. Marketing, 89% of all people look online, and only having it up in a few places may be losing buyers.
2. More money! On average sellers who choose to go FSBO lose up to $59,000 on the average sale.
3. Time. My job is to make this process as stress-free as possible and take on all of the buyers coming through the home. Giving you time to do the things you love and not want to pull your hair out with all of the negotiating, offers, paperwork, etc.
