Last year, Discovery Channel filmed part of Canal Convergence for an episode of "Adventure Cities" that features Scottsdale! The episode aired for the first time on July 21. Wind chill inside your home? Really? Is that a thing? Most homes in AZ have ceiling fans but, did you know that a ceiling fan does not actually lower the overall temperature in a room, but it can definitely make a space feel cooler. Ceiling fans primarily work through something called a wind chill effect. Essentially, the moving air across your skin helps to evaporate sweat at a faster rate. This can help to lower your body temperature a little.

Moving tips for those precious items that you HAVE to put on the moving truck! ⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Meet our Santa, he was hand made for us the year our daughter was born and has moved with us six times across the country and back!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
He is priceless to us. Note the baby booties for my little girl, and the little cowboy hat for my son ~ both my kids are adults now. 💕
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
He has survived all our moves because I've always:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Itemized him separately in his own box, making sure he is properly bubble wrapped;
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Written down the box number and asked the movers to place the box in a special spot on the truck, with nothing placed on top of it;
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Let the moving guys know that I have a very special item of value in the box, and I’ve made sure that the box is handled with care when it arrives.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In 29 years he has been moved from Florida, to Chicago, to Denver, to California, to Denver, to Florida and now Arizona!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
*As a side note, I have always loved the colors of the southwest (peach and teal) even though we haven’t lived in Arizona before. What an amAZing coincidence that he fits so perfectly into our new home!
