🚨 DID YOU KNOW? A NEW LOUISIANA INSURANCE RULE COULD SAVE SOME BUSINESSES MONEY ON COMMERCIAL AUTO INSURANCE.
Effective August 20, 2026, Louisiana Regulation 138 requires qualifying commercial-auto insurers to provide a liability-premium discount for eligible commercial vehicles equipped with both:
📹 A compliant dashboard camera
📊 A qualifying telematics system
This can matter to contractors, service companies, delivery businesses, fleet operators, transportation companies, and other Louisiana businesses operating commercial vehicles.
Important: There is not one fixed discount percentage. The amount is determined by the insurer based on actuarial factors.
The required discount applies to the liability portion of the policy—not automatically to collision or comprehensive coverage.
To qualify, equipment must meet specific standards and remain operational during the policy term.
✅ Business owners: before your next commercial-auto renewal, ask your agent or insurer whether your vehicles qualify under Louisiana Regulation 138.
Saving money sometimes starts with simply knowing which questions to ask.

NO TODAS LAS PERSONAS QUE CONOCEMOS SON NUESTRA GENTE. Y NO TODOS LOS LUGARES DONDE INVERTIMOS MERECEN QUE SIGAMOS INVIRTIENDO.

A través de los años he pertenecido y participado activamente en muchas organizaciones, grupos profesionales, grupos hispanos, eventos, conferencias, reuniones y actividades de negocios.

He asistido. He apoyado. He participado. He viajado. He invertido mi tiempo, mi dinero y mi energía.

Y después de mi más reciente evento de negocios, entendí algo con mucha más claridad:

Estar en el mismo salón no significa pertenecer a la misma tribu.

Hay personas que son verdaderos amigos.
Hay relaciones que se convierten en oportunidades de crecimiento mutuo.
Hay personas que hablan de ti cuando tú no estás presente, te refieren, te apoyan, contestan tu llamada y genuinamente quieren verte triunfar.

Y también hay conocidos.

Personas que conocemos y que nos conocen. Nos saludamos, compartimos eventos, quizás hasta tenemos muchas fotos juntos… pero eso no necesariamente significa que exista una relación verdadera.

Y está bien reconocer la diferencia.

Hoy veo cada membresía, conferencia, viaje y evento empresarial desde otra perspectiva:

Es una inversión.

Y como cualquier inversión, tengo que preguntarme:

¿Cuál ha sido el retorno?

No solamente económico.

¿He creado relaciones genuinas?
¿He crecido profesionalmente?
¿Existen oportunidades, colaboración y referencias?
¿Hay reciprocidad?
¿Me siento valorada y respetada?
¿Estoy aportando valor y también recibiendo valor?

Porque yo no pago por porristas.

No necesito aplausos, fotografías, likes ni simplemente poder decir: “Yo estuve allí.”

Prefiero invertir en conexiones reales, amistades verdaderas, relaciones profesionales sólidas, respeto mutuo, oportunidades, educación, colaboración y crecimiento.

También he aprendido algo importante: no hay que terminar una relación con enojo para cambiar la categoría que ocupa en nuestra vida.

Algunas personas que alguna vez consideramos parte de nuestro círculo simplemente son conocidos.

Nos conocemos. Nos respetamos. Nos deseamos lo mejor.

Pero eso no significa que exista una amistad o una relación profunda.

Eso no es resentimiento. Es discernimiento.

Mi tiempo es limitado.
Mi energía tiene valor.
Mi dinero tiene propósito.

Por eso, de ahora en adelante, voy a invertirlos donde exista valor mutuo, respeto, conexión genuina y posibilidades de crecer juntos.

Sin drama.
Sin resentimientos.
Sin explicaciones innecesarias.

Simplemente con mayor claridad e intención.

No todo grupo es mi tribu.
No toda relación es una amistad.
No todo evento merece repetirse.
Y no toda inversión merece más de mi dinero, mi tiempo o mi energía.

Hay temporadas que simplemente terminan porque ya nos enseñaron lo que necesitábamos aprender.

Yo sé quién es mi gente. ❤️

Y hacia esas personas, relaciones y oportunidades irá mi inversión.

Menos apariencias. Más autenticidad.
Menos cantidad. Más calidad.
Menos ruido. Más propósito.
Menos conocidos. Más conexiones reales.
