Florida’s economy has reached $1.8 trillion, making it the 14th-largest economy in the world if it were ranked alongside countries — now ahead of Australia and Mexico, according to the Florida Chamber Foundation.

But the headline is only part of the story.

Our biggest takeaways:

→ Capital continues to move to Florida. The Florida Chamber estimates wealth migration at more than $4 million every hour.

→ Florida’s economy is diversifying. Tourism, construction and agriculture remain important, but aerospace, defense, fintech, healthcare, logistics, manufacturing and technology are increasingly part of the growth story.

→ The population story remains significant. Florida has grown by nearly 9% since 2020, reaching approximately 23.5 million residents.

→ Businesses and entrepreneurs continue to see opportunity here. More companies, talent and investment mean greater economic depth — and ultimately greater demand for places to live, work and invest.

→ For Miami real estate, the bigger picture matters. We aren’t simply selling into a housing market. We are operating within one of the world’s increasingly important centers for wealth, business, culture and international capital.

Markets will always move through cycles. But long-term real estate value is ultimately influenced by something much bigger: where people, businesses and capital want to be.

And Florida continues to make a compelling case.
