Four Years Ago Today…
Four years ago, my life was forever changed. What once felt like an unbearable mountain — cancer — became the very place where I found my deepest strength, my truest self, and a peace I never expected.
Today marks four years since the surgery that saved my life. Four years since I stood at the edge of uncertainty and chose to fight. To live. To believe. And by grace, I am still here.
I carry immense gratitude in my heart — for the hands that healed me, the hearts that held me, and the faith that never let me go. Every breath since has been a gift. Every moment with family & friends, every sunrise, every tear, every laugh — sacred. I don’t take any of it for granted.
This journey taught me perseverance. There were days I didn’t know how I’d move forward, but I did. Step by step. Even when my body was weak, my spirit refused to quit. I learned that strength doesn’t always look loud or bold — sometimes it’s quiet, trembling, but still moving forward.
I’ve made peace with what was. Acceptance has brought healing in places deeper than scars. I no longer fight the past. I honor it — because it shaped me. And I walk forward not in fear, but with hope. Hope that shines even when it’s dark. Hope that reminds me: I was made for this life.
With this second chance comes a calling. Not just to live — but to serve. To show up for my family & friends with love and presence. To offer compassion to others walking their own battles. To lift others as I was lifted.
I’ve come to believe we are never meant to go through things just for ourselves. We endure so that we can reach back and help the next person through. That’s where meaning is found — in unity, in love, in giving back.
So today, I pause not just to celebrate survival, but to embrace a deeper truth: Life is not just about what we overcome — it’s about who we become, and how we love others along the way.
To those who walked with me — thank you. I carry your kindness forever.
To those still fighting — I see you. I believe in you. There is light ahead.
And to the days to come — I’m ready. Rooted in gratitude. Walking in peace. Living with purpose.
