He was born and raised in Miami, later earning his business degree from the University of Central Florida. Once back in South Florida, Nelson began his real estate practice and joined BHHS EWM Realty (then known as Esslinger-Wooten-Maxwell) in 1998. He additionally facilitated the 2019 sale between the seller and the buyer, Ransom Everglades School, of 3551 Main Highway in Coconut Grove for $34.6 million, as well as 2015’s $33 million sale of 5800 North Bay Road to Phil Collins.
