Miami’s evolution just hit a historic milestone. 🚀🏢

Carnegie Mellon University is officially expanding to Miami.

Backed by Ken Griffin’s historic $3 billion gift to Carnegie Mellon — including $2 billion to launch CMU Miami — the new campus will be anchored in Wynwood.

Griffin has also closed on the $1.1 billion purchase of Moishe Mana’s 30-acre Mana Wynwood complex, where the university’s Miami campus will take shape. The full campus is expected to span more than 35 acres.

Construction is expected to begin in 2027, with the first students arriving in 2028.

Another major step in Miami’s evolution as a global center for education, technology, innovation and business.
