⚠️ Warning to Potential Volkswagen Buyers: Think Twice
I want to share a deeply frustrating experience as a warning to anyone considering buying or leasing a Volkswagen.
Back in February, I leased a 2025 Jetta for my 17-year-old daughter. Just a few days later, she was involved in a minor accident. Since then, we’ve been waiting six months for a replacement bumper. Only one of the two required parts, the axle, has arrived. The bumper is still missing, with no clear timeline for when it will be available, despite repeated promises and constantly shifting delivery dates.
In early July, I was told it would arrive by the 27th. Then it was pushed to the first week of August. Now, they can’t give me a specific date at all. All the while, I’ve had to continue making lease payments on a car my daughter can’t drive as she starts her senior year of high school.
This experience has made it painfully clear how unprepared Volkswagen is to support its customers after the sale. A company that sells and leases brand-new vehicles but can’t provide basic replacement parts and offers no reliable communication, updates, or accountability is not one I can recommend. I haven’t received a single follow-up call or apology from Volkswagen.
If you’re considering a Volkswagen, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. This has been an incredibly disappointing, expensive, and completely avoidable experience. It will be our first and last VW.
