Ponce Circle Park, Coral Gables' civic gathering place since the 1920s, has just officially unveiled a $10 million redesign, the most comprehensive in its history, anchored by a posthumous installation of one of Frank Stella's final large-scale works.

A monumental polished aluminum sculpture will stand in a reflecting pool at the north end, with an open-air stage called the Odeon, inspired by the Pantheon in Rome, at the center, carrying concerts, theater and fitness classes year-round.

Directly across the street, Allen Morris Co.'s 58-residence Ponce Park is already under construction, set to finish within months of the park's reopening.

Ground has broken on Sweetbird North, an eight-story office and retail development at 95 Northeast 40th Street in Miami’s Design District.

Developed by Miami Design District Associates in partnership with Raycliff Capital and designed by Snøhetta, the approximately 120,500-square-foot project will contain more than 92,000 square feet of office space and approximately 22,500 square feet of retail.

Construction has topped off at One Brickell Riverfront, a dual-tower condominium development rising at 99 SW 7th Street in Brickell.

Developed by Newgard Group and Two Roads Development, the project consists of two residential towers sharing a unified podium along the Miami River.

LOFTY Brickell rises 44 stories and contains 362 fully furnished condominium residences, while The Standard Residences Brickell will reach 46 stories and include 422 units. Both towers were designed by Arquitectonica.
