About last night 💫🙌 🌊
The World Ocean Celebration launch party in Miami on behalf was a great reminder that protecting our oceans and our marine life is our responsibility.
As a surfer, the ocean is my playground. As a real estate broker, I know it’s also one of the reasons people from all over the world choose to live here.
The event brought together scientists, artists, environmental advocates, and community leaders, all focused on creating more awareness around the health of our oceans and coastal ecosystems.
Whether you surf, boat, fish, dive, paddle, or simply enjoy a walk on the beach, we all have a stake in preserving our incredible natural resources.
I left feeling inspired, and grateful to everyone who helped make this event happen and for keeping this important conversation moving forward.
It was great also run into old friends. Made me realize we’re all very much connected. miami

In 2018, Reuben Ezekiel claimed to be looking for a Golden Beach home. After two years of searching, real estate broker Alexander Goldstein found an ideal property – a $2.9 million waterfront home. Ezekiel claimed he was no longer interested, only to submit an offer under his sister’s name two hours later, giving her the commission.

Goldstein sued Ezekiel in 2020, starting a six-year legal battle that ended last week when the jury ruled in Goldstein’s favor, awarding him $47.8 million in damages, and finding Ezekiel liable for several civil charges.

Spanish developer Pablo Castro has an answer for Laura Tauber, following her lawsuit claiming that Castro denied her compensation for her work on a Live Local project: she “knowingly” participated without payment.

Castro also denied Tauber was ever a partner in the project, arguing she had wanted to participate to gain experience in workforce housing development. Plus, he claims, she never delivered results.

“Any future benefit would arise from her anticipated equity participation through investment or the introduction of investors, which never materialized,” he said.

There’s been a lot of conversation around Florida eliminating property taxes 🏡
But before we get ahead of ourselvesthis is still just a proposal.

It would have to pass the Senate, hasn’t made it to the ballot, and it would still require voter approval.

So we’re not there yet.

The question is if Property taxes currently fund billions of dollars in local services, from schools to police and fire departments, how will this funding be replaced?

The reality is a lot more complex.

There’s a lot of noise right now about properties being sold “using ChatGPT”… or without an agent. 🙄
As usual, the headlines are focused on clicks and not the full picture.

The reality is that there were still real people involved.
An actual real estate agent representing the buyer who prepared and negotiated the offer.

And the seller hired the services of a real estate attorney to review documents and protect their side of the deal.
AI’s role here was closer to a marketing or project management tool, and not a legal or transactional representative.
I use ChatGPT in my own business, especially for marketing.

It doesn’t replace the experience, strategy, and guidance it takes to actually get a deal done.
There’s always more behind the story than the headline.
