"From the snowy streets of Toronto to the sunny beaches of Miami, Canadian asset management CI Financial Corp. inked a long-term lease at the 830 Brickell office tower in Downtown Miami.

The financial firm will occupy approximately 20,000 square feet on the 48th floor, Cushman & Wakefield’s Brian Gale, who represented landlords Cain International and OKO Group, told Commercial Observer. With a lease that’s more than 10 years long, the firm is set to move in by the end of 2022, the broker added."

The Canadian asset and wealth management firm has $309 billion under management, making it one of the largest new entrants to Miami.

One of the biggest names in has announced plans to move to Downtown Miami. Microsoft has signed a lease at OKO Group and Cain International's 830 Brickell office tower, the only Class A-plus office tower under construction in the heart of Miami’s Financial District.

Missoni Baia Tops Off In Edgewater At 57 Stories, 649 Feet

Chicago-headquartered private equity firm Thoma Bravo is opening in Brickell, where it expects to station 30 employees — at least 10 of them new, according to Chip Virnig, a firm partner.

Their new home: the top two floors of 830 Brickell, the 55-story landmark tower designed by the architects responsible for two of the world’s tallest skyscrapers.

OKO Group, the real estate development firm led by Vlad Doronin, and Jonathan Goldstein’s Cain International secured a $128.3 million construction loan for a waterfront Brickell condo project.

Una secured $76 million in sales between January and now, all from domestic buyers, according to the release.

Condo prices range from $2 million to $7.4 million, and penthouses are asking up to $21.6 million. Units range from two to five bedrooms.

"The Miami Beach Historical Preservation Board approved the Aman Miami development by OKO Group’s plan for the restoration of the historic Versailles Hotel. This a big step forward for the art deco building in Miami Beach’s Faena District. Aman Miami will consists of 56 hotel rooms within the restored Versailles Hotel along with 23 boutique residences located in a new tower next door. The residences in the new tower will be designed by Kengo Kuma with the HP board vote of the proposed residential tower design coming up in February. Once the design is approved OKO Group can proceed with permits and construction."
