Built in 1872 by architect Daniel T. Atwood,
the Tenafly Railroad Station became one of the most elegant stops on the Northern Branch line connecting Bergen County to New York City.
Its High Victorian Gothic design made it a landmark of craftsmanship and community pride.
After nearly a century of service, passenger trains stopped running in 1966, but the building still stands as one of Tenafly’s most beloved symbols of heritage and time.
