Lee Health is proud to announce the opening of a new arm at Cape Coral Hospital: The Complex Care Center! 🎉 Starting September 10th, residents and visitors can receive high-quality care close to home after a hospital discharge. 🏡

🏥 Located inside the Medical Office Building, this 2,591-square-foot center will be open every day, including holidays, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. It’s designed to support those without a primary care physician (P*P) or unable to access one in a timely manner, providing essential services like wound care and infusions. 💉

With a dedicated team of hospitalists, pharmacists, and clinical social workers, the Complex Care Center aims to reduce emergency department visits and prevent hospital readmissions. 🚨 It also offers resources to help patients establish a P*P for ongoing care. 📋

🌊 Cape Coral Receives $51.8 Million for Disaster Recovery! 🌊

Exciting news for Cape Coral! The Lee County Commissioners have approved over $229 million in disaster recovery grants, including nearly $52 million for Cape Coral projects! 🎉

These funds, part of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery, will go toward 20 public facility and infrastructure projects in Lee County to support recovery after Hurricane Ian. 🌪️💪

Here’s a breakdown of some critical projects for Cape Coral:

🏢 Community Recreation Center and Disaster Shelter - $29.9M

🚑 Cape Coral EMS Base/Safe Room - $10M

🌊 Weir Rehabilitation Upgrade or Replacement - $10.8M
