A Vision for Miami's Future
I believe Miami and South Florida are among the greatest places to live, work, and invest. Our diversity, culture, economy, and entrepreneurial spirit make our community truly unique.
However, affordability must be at the forefront of our public policy decisions. We are lacking responsible, orderly, and long-term planning that balances growth with the needs of the people who already live here.
We need meaningful housing initiatives that encourage the development of workforce and affordable housing while preserving the quality of our neighborhoods. Local governments should make the entitlement process more flexible for developers who are genuinely committed to providing housing solutions that benefit the community.
Growth should not be viewed as the enemy. Instead, it should be guided by thoughtful planning, improved infrastructure, community input, and policies that reward responsible development.
Miami's future depends on striking the right balance between economic opportunity, housing affordability, and smart urban planning. If we work together—government, the private sector, and our communities—we can ensure that South Florida remains a place where people of all incomes can live, work, raise families, and prosper.
