I booked an Air BNB about 6 months ago for $360 for the weekend because I was going to my daughter's college for parent's weekend and I know everything gets booked. Even though it was confirmed several times, about a week before my stay it was canceled by the host who rebooked it for more money. The only hotel room left was $765.00 a night so it will cost me about $1,200 more. I contacted Air BNB and all they did was apologize. I asked for a supervisor and was told one would call me back with a day or two. Two days later at 9:30 at night they called and again I only was offered apologies. I explained we had a legal contract and that I would take them to court, so then they offered to split the difference with me, if I sent them a copy of my new reservation. So it will still cost me over $600 extra. I will not use them again.
