Yesterday I received this picture from my sons teacher showing me how he got 100% on his AR test. I was so happy for him- not because he got a 100 but because I saw his smile and I knew behind this smile is a child that has confidence and has a team behind him rooting for him to be great… and thank you sooooooo much for giving our baby the tools he needs to be successful, for giving him the confidence he needs to be great, for making him love school, and for just being the most amazing role models to our children!!!! You are both a gift from God and I will be forever grateful for the impact you continue to make on our boy… we love youuuuuu

Today my baby boy started his first day as a college freshman… words cannot describe the joy my heart feels… my first prince, my God light your way, may you feel and understand what it is to work hard and make sacrifices for a better tomorrow. Today I left USF after I dropped you off to start the next chapter of your life… son- I need you to know how proud I am of you!! Watching you grow up has been one of Gods greatest gifts!! We have laughed and cried together- celebrated victories and challenges and learned from it all… I pray God guides your path and I feel confident in knowing I have raised a strong, smart, determined young man! Sometimes you question why life has to be so hard… why people make the simplest things impossible??? Why people can’t just get along for the kids- to see them happy and together… And most of the time- you just give up and decide that the fight just isn’t worth it anymore… other times God shows you why the fight is worth it - he shows you what your fighting for and at that moment you get reenergized, you wipe the dust off, and you keep pushing thru knowing that the end is near and that God has your back thru it all…
