To my non-REALTOR friends! You know I would never lie to you, but the press will. And they are. The 6% commission is not gone. NAR has not gotten rid of it. In fact, NAR has nothing to do with commission rates. The commission on the sale of your home is negotiable between you and your agent. Always has been. Always will be. If you and your agent agree on a 6% commission then so be it. If you agree on a 5% commission then so be it. So stop reading the headlines and start talking to your agent.
