The Buffalo House has been rented for just about everything—board meetings, photo shoots, weekend retreats, knitting clubs, book clubs, wine nights, fireside hangouts—you name it. That’s what we love about this place: it’s a space that invites creativity, connection, and a little bit of magic.

Last year we were contacted by whose work we instantly fell in love with. She works magic with the light ✨

She came to us with a vision: an old-school summer shoot for her new friendship sessions. Of course, we said YES. 🌿

The results? Even better than we could have imagined. Here they are… the friendship shoot…we’d love to know what you think!

Last night, the snow began to fall, carried by 45mph winds that howled through the forest. It was the kind of night that reminded us why we love winter at Buffalo House. Inside our cozy cabin, wrapped in warmth and surrounded by the soft glow of rustic charm, we watched the snow dance outside the window. There’s something special about being tucked away, safe and snug, as nature puts on a breathtaking show.

🏡✨big cabin news ✨🏡 We absolutely love our home here at , and Michiana has become such a special place for us and our families, friends and guests 💕

Post-COVID and post-restoration/renovation, we’re feeling the need for a bit more space—for our kids, guests, and future renters who want to experience this beautiful spot in the woods 🌲🌲🌲

So, we have this unused space in our garden and have had so many plans (and if you know us we had an awesome pool, redesigned gardens with more outdoor space and a hundred and one other ideas!) but wanted to make sure that whatever our plan was that it blended perfectly with the cabin’s aesthetic, like it’s always been part of the landscape! 🌲💛

Our vision is to create a cozy, welcoming space that feels like an extension of the main cabin and we can’t wait to share this journey with you all as we bring next cabin dream to life!

‘I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers’ 🍂🍁🍂

We love every season at the cabin but there is something so special about the way the leaves change color, the forest sways in the wind, the crisp air wraps around you and the warmth at the end of the day from a crackling fire 🧡

We have some very exciting things happening at the cabin this fall and we can’t wait for the changes it will bring in how we all enjoy our happy place✌🏻Follow along in our stories as we create a new space to love in Michiana!

✨ LAKE LIFE ✨ Definitely the prettiest lakeside sunset picnic we have ever seen!

Last night we celebrated a milestone birthday for one of our neighbors and it could not have been more perfect if we tried - beautiful picnic table, delicious food & drinks, the perfect cake & shortbread to take home 💕

Happy birthday 💃
